I find that I update my facebook page much more often than I update my website. I’ll try to fix that. I’ll be working on www.aboutlarry.com, my other website that I will be using to chronicle my journey to Los Angeles. Should be fun.
This Saturday night I will be performing at PJ’s in Cool Ridge, West Virginia. I will be doing a 30 minute feature spot with headliner Jay Boc. We are in for a bit of a drive on Saturday, around 6 1/2 hours. I’m going over my material, hoping to remember it all (I won’t).
I am also traveling to New York City next week to attend an open casting call for a new show on Spike TV. They are looking for a mid-30’s everyday guy. They want an undiscovered talent. I’m undiscovered! I meet all the requirements.
My goal of becoming famous is near. With fame comes money, power, and most inportantly, the ability to fight kangaroos.

I just finished work on www.shawnawhitlock.com last week. Looks nice, I think. Check it out and watch the video, Shawna is a very funny comic!

This isĀ a wonderful little song I wrote awhile back. It is also only one of three songs I ever wrote in my short song-writing career. I believe it really captures the essence of Larry Long.
I’ve been working with Kevin Cease on the redesign of www.standupbootcamp.com for Kyle Cease’s Standup Bootcamp. There is a temporary page up now, but the new site is coming soon. I am also almost finished working on www.shawnawhitlock.com. She is a comic I met in L.A. at the bootcamp. She is very funny, check out the video on the home page.
I try to split my time between writing jokes and web design. That can be hard sometimes, I love doing both.
I also have a 3 year old girl that keeps me busy. Trying to write jokes or design websites with a tiny human poking at the keyboard has taught me to have Zen-like patience. But she thinks farts are hilarious, so that’s a plus.
